Sturdy and well built, loud alarm
A provisional review for this lock that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I am not an expert at all, but it looks solid and well done: the 17mm shackle diameter is one of the best that can be found around, and the price of the item is very low, if compared with the highest sellers. It would be interesting to see how this item performs when attacked by professionals.

One strange thing about the shackle is that it doesn't slip straight into two holes in the bar as most of the competitors do: there is only one hole, while the other side of the shackle rotates over a pivot, in doing so also freeing access to the on-off switch. This seems to reduce the security of the lock a bit, given that the side where the shackle rotates out is open so that the whole D-bar can do a 90 degrees rotation.

The key/keyhole are pretty weird, in that they are arc-shaped: I hope this means that they are less common and make it for a more difficult life for lockpickers.

Reasonable 2nd lock, but not 17mm
The information posted is misleading, the shackle is not 17mm thick, the steel is core is only 14mm. It is 17mm with the rubber!

However, this is a still a reasonably priced d-lock for a second lock to go with a thicker/stronger primary lock. The alarm is loud enough and not overly sensitive. Not a lock I would use as my only lock, but as a second it is a good light noisy (thats a good ting) option.
