These body armour shorts combine hard exterior PP shell pads with EVA foam pads for ultimate protection. The tail bone is covered with hard shell PP for impact protection and is specially shaped to allow it to flex and remain comfortable to wear. The thighs are protected with hard shell PP. The hip areas and backside both utilise shock absorbing EVA pads. These are comfortable to wear and perfect for taking the crunch out of your crash whatever your sport. Great for downhill riding, skiing and BMX. I found these shorts to be quite comfortable to wear with the armour padding hard but unobtrusive. They need to be worn under other shorts, or you need to wear a pair of briefs under the shorts as they are mainly fishnet except for a small modesty panel,(or am I boasting??!!). However they do appear to give good protection to the hips and spine in the event of falling off your bike!! I have used them on my bicycle and under a pair of jeans on my motorbike - a very useful product if you are in to two wheels!
