The Polar RC3 GPS BIKE heart rate monitor provides accurate readings and is equipped with the Training benefit function to give you instant feedback after each workout. It has the Polar CS speed sensor W.I.N.D. enabling you to define settings for up to three bikes, activate autostart/autostop feature, various distance measurements, race pace and target zones. The Running Index scores your performance and tracks the route, speed and distance with the GPS sensor, whereas the personal sport zones allow for training at the right intensity. Thanks to the training distance you can check the distance travelled during each session, while the trip distance shows the distance from the latest trip reset. Total distance is the distance counted since the last reset. This functional heart rate monitor also features the Race Pace which allows for setting a target speed/pace for a certain distance. Great watch and HRM
Great to have a compact watch with this level of functionality. Huge level of features and easy to link with Polar's web site to track your progress.

I bought the version before the altitude functionality was released. Sent it back to Polar Service Centre and they updated the firmware free of charge.

I got it to allow me to track all my activities, which range from walking, to squash to cycling. Most other gadgets of this nature can't cover such a wide range. It's not fully waterproof, so you can't swim with it and it will only link to Strava with GPS functionality.
