Well in a bid to get fit, forthcoming marriage ,thought would purchase myself some new wheels, does not cost anything to run just leg power, I love this bicycle although it required both my son and my partner to put it together, well I am blonde, screw and nut missing from the mud guard but really looks lovely otherwise, I wanted something robust and the shopping basket on the front is great all in all I would recommed this, hopefully I can still remember how to ride a bicycle

Lovely bike
Let me start by saying I love this bike. It's good to look at, and good to ride. I don't encounter many hills on my everyday commute so I have yet to put the gears to the test, but there seem to be just enough to do the job. The basket is sturdy, and I managed to assemble the whole thing myself in an hour or so. And people keep giving me comments about how nice it looks. So, all in all, I am very positive about this bike.

Assembly wasn't difficult, although keeping a picture of the finished bike nearby was useful. The instructions go into great detail about things like the rear drive system (which is already assembled) but are vague and sometimes downright cryptic about the parts you have to install yourself. But, as I say, with a bit of common sense the assembly was straightforward. A spanner and allen keys are provided, but I would probably recommend using your own allen keys (5mm and 6mm) as the ones I got were cheaply made and therefore a) not quite the right size and...

My Tandem Purchase
Since my daughter is legally blind I decided to purchase a tandem bicycle. She used to love cycling when her eyes were in better shape. I live in New Zealand and the price of tandems here is very high. I purchased on line in the UK for a considerably lower price. Although taking home as luggage was a challenge the saving was worth it. At 25Kg it was just on the limit of the economy luggage allowance on the airline I flew with so you would need to be careful since excess luggage can be very expensive. The service from the web purchase was very good.

Now we are riding the bike and it is great!

Good but heavy on the hills
On the whole I'm very pleased with the bike, its exactly what I wanted in terms of style and upright riding position. The little basket is excellent for transporting all your stuff and the design of the bike means you can ride in normal clothing, good for those using it for commuting as I do.
It is however, heavy. I wouldn't recommend it for any rough terrain or steep inclines or anywhere you might need to lift or carry it any distance. But on the road it's great.
And don't be put off by the comments that its hard to assemble. Admittedly the instructions are not the best (actually the ones I got were for a completely different bike!) but its fairly obvious how to assemble it, it can be done with the 2 tools provided and I managed it unassisted in about 30 minutes(and I'm a girl)

Bike arrived well protected and only took 20 minutes to assemble and adjust to suit 5ft 1" rider, would also adjust to suit 5ft 8" rider at least. Very good style, quality and value
