As safe as houses
A great seat, easy to use and thoroughly enjoyed by my son...who looks forward to being a "co-pilot" on bicycle rides. He is so comfortable he rarely wants to get out, and yes the foot straps do protect you form being kicked. Great design, easy to fit, easy to take on and off and the co-pilot sign on the back is moderately amusing.

Look elsewhere!
I would not recommend this seat. Brace yourself for an evening of frustration if you choose this item. It should be simple to fit, but instructions are so rubbish that you run into the usual ("whats this piece for"? "Where should this go?" etc. It never ceases to amaze me why manfacturers are happy to supply their products with such scant and poor instuctions. After all this is usually your first experience with their products and Mr CoPilot if you're listening it will also be my last!!

For me it just shows that the manfacturer doesn't really care about their customers and are just trying to shift as many of their moulded plastic units as possible. Also the feet holds are fiddly and difficult to use. If you are looking for a child bike seat...do yourself a favour and don't choose CoPilot!!
