Amazing innovative sweat-free design
I've used panniers on my commuter bike for the last five years but having upgraded to a proper road bike I was loath to burden it down with pannier frame etc. My major concern with a rucksack was getting over-hot - I tend to treat my commute as my workout and so go at it hard, and didn't want to end up with a rucksack soaked in sweat. This Deuter pack is nothing short of miraculous - you can feel the air circulating between your back and the pack as you ride. When I finish a ride my back is dry as is the pack. Other than this feature, there are nice additions like the built in helmet holder and waterproof cover. The chest and waist strap mean the pack feels very secure when riding but also surprisingly comfortable. And I found the valuables pocket to be perfect for phone, wallet and keys - not too small like some other reviewers. Overall perfect purchase and will get a lot of use.

i have had this rucksack for many years now, i have had 2 tarmac spills with it, and its still working, although a little scruffy because of that, but i did land on it at high speed, but its main asset is the design, the airstripes keep your back so much cooler than any other i have tried, and it can open up a little more to squeeze extra goodies in, i find the design perfect, only reason i'm looking to replace is as i said mine is a little beat up, one zip got destroyed on the tarmac, i have decided the perfect replacement will be the very same model, i totally recommend this, but i don't recommend falling off, especially on tarmac (it really hurts).
ok then, a few days have passed, new rucksack has turned up, and its been improved since i bought my last one,,even better ventilation, which was already the best on the market, so hey, happy days
ps it was sent from germany , and still only took a few days
