A word on older bikes
Newer 700c bikes have a very different geometry to older tourers.
This rack will probably not fit a frame where the top tube is parallel to the ground without a fair bit of modification.
Having said that after sawing, hammering, filing and drilling to get the adjustable 'arms' on the front of the rack to the right length it now fits my '92 Dawes Galaxy pefectly and is doing a great job, the build quality is fantastic.
